Norfolk Virginian Pilot September 27, 1942
Mrs. Sarah Alice Jones, aged 81, of 719 Bossevain avenue, died yesterday morning 
at 10:30 o'clock in a local hospital after an illness of three weeks.  She was a 
native of Amelia Court House and had made her home here for the past 60 years.  
She was the daughter of the late Sidney and Mrs. Martha Taylor Bott and widow of 
Lewis C. Jones.  Surviving are four sons, N.S., L.C., F.M. and R.B. Jones, all 
of Norfolk; one daughter, Mrs. G.L. Wadsworth, of Lynnhaven; one brother, B.B. 
Bott, of Norfolk; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was a 
member of Park Place Methodist Church.
The body was removed to the Sykes Funeral Home, 124 East Berkley avenue, where 
funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 4 o'clock.  Burial will be 
in the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
