Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, April 12, 1992 
Robert N. Jones, of the 1500 block of Link St., a retired longshoremen's gang
leader, died April 10, 1992, in a hospital.

Mr. Jones was born in Norfolk and retired from International Longshoremen's
Association 1248 after 35 years. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and
was an Army veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Lena Jones.

Survivors include a daughter, Maybelle Nellum of Virginia Beach; three
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2p.m. Wednesday in Bethlehem Baptist Church by
the Rev. L.P. Watson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will be
placed in the church at noon Wednesday. Friends may join the family at the
residence. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
