JONES OF SOUTH NORFOLK, DIES Thomas L. Jones, one of the best known citizens of South Norfolk, died yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the 65 year of his age. He was a native of North Carolina and represented his county in the Legislature as a Republican and held county offices many years while his party was in power in that State. He moved to South Norfolk about fifteen years ago. He is survived by two brothers, J.L. and Alex Jones, three nephews, W.H., F.F. and W.J. Jones and one niece Mrs. Mary E. Jones. The funeral will be conducted from the family residence, No. 73 Liberty street extended, with Rev. E.S. Pierce officiating, and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. ****************************************************************** The funeral of the late Thomas L Jones, who died Monday at his home in South Norfolk, will be conducted from the residence, 73 Liberty street, this morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. E.S. Pierce, pastor of the South Norfolk Baptist Church, will officiate and the interment will be in Magnolia cemetery. The deceased was a Democrat and not a Republican as stated.
