NORFOLK - Fred W. Jones of 831 Majestic Ave. died Friday in a hospital.

A native of Americus, Ga., he was a son of Elijah and Mrs. Mary Jones and the
husband of Mrs. Ophelia Jones.

He was a member of Second Calvary Baptist Church and its Usher Board and a Boy Scout
leader. He was employed by the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gloria Wright of Fort
Lauderdale, Fla., and Mrs. Villetta Howard of Miami; and two grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Second Calvary Baptist Church by
the Rev. H.W.B. Walker. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be taken
to the church from Graves Funeral Home at 11 a.m.
