NEW LONDON, Conn. - John Tilton Jones, Jr., formerly of Norfolk, died June 22, 1989,
in a hospital.

Mr. Jones was an auto mechanic and a former member of New Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Ruth N. Jones, a sister, Juanita J. Purvis of Oakland,
Calif.; and two brothers, Theodore L. Jones of Oakland and Claude M. Jones of New
York City.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Queen Street Baptist Church,
413 E. Brambleton Ave., by the Rev. H.B. Purvis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Thursday. Hale Funeral Home is
handling arrangements.
