NORFOLK - Lincoln Jones, of the 1200 block of Midland St., a retired sheet metal
worker, died March 3, 1987, in an nursing home.

Mr. Jones, an Ahoskie, N.C., native, retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 27
years. He was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mattie Jones; a daughter, Cleo J. Gray of Washington,
D.C.; two sons, George T. Jones of Washington, D.C., and Hugh L. Jones of Norfolk; a
sister, Bessie Burden of Ahoskie; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in New Calvary baptist Church by
the Rev. Oliver B. Welch. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be
placed in the church at 11 a.m. The family will be at Hale Funeral Home from 7 to 8
p.m. today.
