NORFOLK — Mrs. Ada Hopkins Jones, 87, of 732 Redgate Ave. died in her home 
Thursday at 1:30 p.m. after illness of a year.
She was a native of York County and lived here most of her life. She was the 
widow of J. Bunyan Jones and a daughter of William H. and Mrs. Susan P. Hopkins.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Stanleigh H. Jones of Virginia Beach and Mordaunt 
S. Jones of Norfolk; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The body will be taken from Cox Funeral Home to Elmwood Cemetery for a funeral 
service Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. E. Irwin Moshier of First Baptist Church. 
The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the 
Cancer Fund.
