Norfolk Virginian October 21, 1877
                     DEATH OF CHARLES E. JONES, ESQ.
It is with regret that we announce the death of this gentleman, the son of our 
esteemed fellow citizen Mr. Jessie Jones, which occurred at the residence of his 
father yesterday morning after a painful illness. All who knew Charlie Jones liked 
him for his many excellent qualities and his death will be mourned by them. His 
funeral will take place this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from Atlantic city.
