NORFOLK - Horace Jones, 49, of 1211 Mapole Ave. died Wednesday morning in 
Kecoughtan Veterans Hospital, Hampton, after a short illness.

A native of Warrenton, N.C., he was a son of the late Charles and Mrs. Ella 
Jones.

He worked 16 years at Norfolk Naval Supply Center and was a member of Ebenezer 
Baptist Church, Virginia Beach.

Surviving are seven brothers, Walter Jones, Mack Jones, Jack Jones, and Benjamin 
Jones of Baltimore, Roy Jones and Raymond Jones of Warrenton, and Forrest Jones 
of Virginia Beach; and five sisters, Mrs. Theresa Baker of Norfolk, Mrs. Bessie 
Powell and Mrs. Selma Reabiers of Richmond, Mrs. Avery Lee Austin of New York, 
and Mrs. Dorothy Lewis of Warrenton.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in Ebeneezer Baptist Church 
by the Rev. C.K. Jones. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Humphries 
Funeral Home in charge.
