                          MRS. CLARA J. JONES.
Mrs. Clara J. Jones, wife of Alexander M. Jones, died at 1:45 o'clock this 
morning at a local hospital, in the fortieth year of her age. She was a native 
of North Carolina, but had spent twenty years of her life in this city, where 
she was well-known and much esteemed.
She is survived by her husband, two children and two sisters, Mrs. R. B. Cake 
and Mrs. Howell, both of Norfolk.
She was a member of Christ P. E. Church, from which the funeral will take place 
at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
                                 DIED
JONES, CLARA J. - On Saturday, May 19, 1917, at 1:45 o'clock a.m., CLARA J., 
wife of Alexander M. Jones, in the 40th year of her age.
Funeral services at Christ Church SUNDAY AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock. Friends of the 
family are invited to attend. Interment private.
