NORFOLK — Mrs. Ellie McAlpine Jones, 97, of 1712 Hampton Blvd, died Saturday in a 
local hospital. She was a native of Norfolk and was a member of St. Andrew's 
Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Laurie H. Cobb and Mrs. Marjorie M. Schumann 
of Norfolk; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery at graveside by the 
Rev. Roger Snyder. Cox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family 
requests that flowers be omitted.
