Virginian-Pilot January 15, 1932
Miss Eva Jones, aged 78, daughter of the late Harvey and Georgianna Parker 
Jones, died at her residence, 314 Raleigh, avenue, yesterday afternoon at 4:45 
o'clock. Miss Jones was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk and was well-
known and highly esteemed by a large circle of friends. She was a member of the 
First Presbyterian Church. Surviving her are three sisters, Misses Susie and 
Bettie Jones and Mrs. Mattie J. Teasley, and four nephews, Arthur P., W. Barham 
and Kenneth S. Jones and Harvey J. Teasley. Funeral services will be held at the 
residence tomorrow at 12 o'clock noon with the Rev. J. L. MacMillan, D. D., 
pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. P. Rowland Wagner, pastor 
of Central Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment will be private in Elmwood Cemetery.
