Norfolk Virginian April 27, 1893
                  FUNERAL OF THE VENERABLE MR. FAYETTE JONES.
Rev. Dr. M. B. Wharton, assisted by Rev. Dr. T. G. Jones, preached the funeral of 
this venerable and highly esteemed citizen yesterday afternoon at his late 
residence, No. 117 Bank street. The following were the pallbearers: J. B. 
Whitehead, W. F. Irvine, J. B. Jenkins, T. F. Rodgers, J. D. Couper, R. G. Banks 
and George E. Bowden. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
