Norfolk Landmark November 5, 1897
                      FUNERAL OF MRS. JANE JONES.
Yesterday afternoon, the funeral of Mrs. Jane Jones, widow of the late Jesse 
Jones, took place from the residence, No. 173 Brewer street. The solemn services 
were conducted by the Rev. W. H. Atwill, pastor of Cumberland Street M. E. Church, 
assisted by the Rev. Dr. W. J. Young, pastor of Epworth Church. The interment was 
in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was a most estimable lady and loved by all who knew her. She was in the 
eighty-first year of her age at the time of her death. She leaves two sons, 
Messrs. George and R. Henry Jones.
