                    J. CRAWLEY JONES DIES; RITES TODAY
J. Crawley Jones, a resident of Norfolk for the past 40 years, died yesterday 
morning at 2:50 o'clock at his residence, 226 East Forty-second street.
Mr. Jones was president of the J. C. Jones Sand Company and was widely known here. 
He was a native of Nottoway County.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Turner Jones; one sister, Mrs. P. R. Eppes, of 
Blackstone; one brother, E. M. Jones, of Blackstone, and a number of nieces and 
nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence today at noon by the Rev. W. 
H. T. Squires, D.D. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
