Norfolk Landmark October 29, 1889
                        DEATH OF MR. JOSIAH T. JONES.
This well-known and popular citizen, who for about seventy-three years had lived 
in this city, died Sunday morning at 11:30 o'clock at his residence in Bank 
street, after a long illness. For a number of years and until very recently, when 
compelled to give up by ill health, Mr. Jones was a prominent figure in business 
circles in Norfolk, and he had a wide circle of friends. He leaves a family, most 
of the members of which are grown. His funeral will take place this morning at 11 
o'clock from his late residence, No. 73 Bank street.
