NORFOLK — Katherine Lamkin Jones of the 5200 block of Studley Ave., a retired 
executive secretary, died Aug. 1,1987, in a hospital.
Mrs. Jones, a native of Hampton, was the widow of Mordaunt S. Jones Sr. She had 
retired from Turners Express Co. She was a member of Larchmont United Methodist 
Church. She was also a past president and life member of Norfolk-Portsmouth 
Women's Traffic Club. She was a member of the Norfolk Museum, the Norfolk 
Society of the Arts, the King's Daughters Circle, the Business and Professional 
Women's Club and Woman's Club of Norfolk.
Survivors include a son, Mordaunt S. Jones Jr. of Rockwell, Texas; a sister, 
Mrs. John C. Atkeson of Norfolk; two grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Elmwood Cemetery 
by the Rev. Dabney Walters. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is handling 
arrangements.
