Virginian-Pilot November 25, 1964
NORFOLK - Mrs. Louise Hunter Jones, 77, the widow of Thomas Ralph Jones and a 
member of an old and prominent Norfolk family, died Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. in her 
home at 902 Greenway Court.
Her husband, who died three years ago, also at the age of 77, had been a cotton 
merchant and gasoline and oil executive.
Mrs. Jones, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, was a daughter of William Wallace 
and Mrs. Sophie Grandy Hunter.
She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Louise Hunter Jones of Washington, and a son, T. 
Ralph Jones Jr. of Wichita, Kan.
A funeral service will be held in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Thursday at 
noon by the Rev. Beverley Tucker White of St. Andrew's Church. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
