NORFOLK — Mrs. Virginia Dare (Jennie) Jones, 91, the widow of Capt. George Edward 
Jones, died in her home at 2640 Vincent Ave. Tuesday at 4:30 a.m.
A native of Bethel, Del., she lived here 65 years.
She was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church and a past worthy matron of 
Virginia Eastern Star Chapter no. 22.
She is survived by a grandson, William Wright Bell of Richmond, and two 
grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Thursday at 1 
p.m. by the Rev. Frank S. Crim, of McKendree United Methodist Church. Burial will 
be in Elmwood Cemetery.
