Virginian-Pilot January 1, 1967
NORFOLK — Walter Barham Jones, 80, of 618 Pembroke Ave., founder and past 
president of Jones Cold Storage Co. of Norfolk, died Saturday in a hospital.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he was a son of Walter and Mrs. Florence Jones 
and the husband of the late Mrs. May Whitehurst Jones.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Norfolk Yacht and Country Club, 
Virginia Club, and Princess Anne Country Club.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lorenz Connelly of Norfolk, and two 
grandsons, Lorenz Connelly Jr. and Arthur Connelly of Norfolk.
The body was taken to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments where a funeral service 
will be held Monday at 1 p.m. by Dr. Andrew R. Bird Jr. of First Presbyterian 
Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
