GREENSBORO, N.C. - William Garland Jones, 66, husband of Mrs. Margaret Blair 
Price Jones and son of William M. and Mrs. Grace Pettit Jones, died Friday at 
1:30 p.m. in a hospital here.
Mr. Jones was associated with J. S. MacRae cotton brokers in Greensboro, was a 
native of Norfolk and lived in Greensboro 11 years.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Rotary Club. He attended public 
schools of Norfolk and Virginia Military Institute. He was a past president of 
Norfolk Rotary Club, past commander of Norfolk American Legion Post 35, and an 
Army veteran of World War I.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, William G. Jones Jr. of Raleigh 
and Milnor Price Jones of Greensboro, and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held today at 11 a.m. in Murray Funeral Home, 
Greensboro.
The body will be sent to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk. A funeral 
service will be held in Elmwood Cemetery Sunday at 3:30 p.m. The family will be 
at 7608 Shirland Ave., Norfolk.
