Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, May 4, 2000 
Lillian H. Jones, 84, went peacefully with her Lord in the presence of loved
ones on April 30, 2000.

She was born in Edgecombe County, Tarboro, N.C., to the late John and Ida
Harrison. Mrs. Jones was a faithful member of First Calvary Baptist Church
serving as an usher, missionary and deaconess. She was past worthy matron of OES
St. Thomas Chapter No. 51.

Lillian retired after more than 30 years with Norfolk General Hospital and Leigh
Memorial Hospital as a nurses assistant. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Jesse D. Jones and daughter, Lillian Jones Taylor.

She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Jones Price and husband, William L.
Price, of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren, Honorable Richard Taylor Jr. and
wife, Nannette, of Richmond, Dr. Lisa Price Stevens and husband, Craig T.
Stevens, of Chesapeake, Lillian Theresa Taylor Hayes, Wayne Taylor and Sharon
Flemmings and husband, Mark, all of Richmond; six great-grandchildren; nieces,
nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends.

Family visitation will be at the home of William and Dorothy Price, Virginia
Beach. The funeral will be Friday, May 5, at noon at First Calvary Baptist
Church with burial at Calvary Cemetery . Dr. J.L. White will officiate. Friends
may join the family at Graves Funeral Home at 11 a.m. for the procession to the
church.
