Norfolk - Charles P. Jones of 1320 Oakfield St., the husband of Mrs. Vanessa
Jones, died Saturday, September 21, in a hospital.


A native of Southampton County, he was retired from Norfolk Shipbuilding and
Drydock Corp. after 10 years.

Besides his widow, survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Florence Doyner of
Cleveland Ohio, and Mrs. Betty Williams of Norfolk;  and a brother, Howard Jones
of Cleveland.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. in Metropolitan Funeral
Chapel by Elder Jeff Barbour.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
