 Norfolk - A funeral service for James Jones of 1035 Oaklawn avenue was
conducted Tuesday in Holy Temple United Holy Church with the Rev. Paul Bradley
officiating.

A native of Franklinton, NC, Mr. Jones was the husband of Mrs. Elizabeth Jones
and a son of Benjamin and Mrs. Cora H. Jones.

He was a retired Naval Station stevedore and a deacon of Holy Temple Church.  

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Parker;  a brother,
Benjamin Jones of Henderson NC;  and five grandchildren.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.
