Virginian Pilot July 13, 1938 


Mrs. Ellen Morein Jones, aged 56, died at Bloomington, Ind., yesterday morning 
at 6:20 o'clock after an illness of seven months. She was a native of Norfolk 
and resided here all of her life prior to moving to Bloomington to make her 
home 20 years ago. She was the daughter of the late Jules A and Mrs. Sarah 
Frances Kirby Morein.

Mrs. Jones was a member of the Bloomington Christian Church, Disciples. She is 
survived by her husband, the Rev. Richard H. Jones, both of Bloomington; two 
sisters, Mrs. L. Bohanan Wynne, of Norfolk and Mrs. Mary V. Ahearn, Churchland, 
and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Bro., 
Westover Avenue at Manteo Street, Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. The Rev. C. 
M. Gordon, D.D., pastor of the First Christian Church, Disciples, will 
officiate. Burial will be in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery.
