Virginia Beach - John Fred Jones, of Mineola Drive, the husband of Mrs. Viola C.
Jones, died Tuesday at 4:05 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital.

A native of Ebony, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jones.  He
lived in this area 40 years.

He formerly owned Jones Motor Co. on Colley Avenue, Norfolk.

Besides his widow, he is survived by a daughter, Miss Wendy Ann Jones of
Virginia Beach;  two stepsons, William P. Casey of Norfolk and Millard J. Casey
of California;  two brothers, Henry Jones of Emporia and Emmitt Jones of Burke;
 and three sisters of Capron.

The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, to Forest
Lawn Cemetery for a funeral service Wednesday at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Asa
Gillespie of Gospel Assembly Pentecostal Church.

The family will be at 1033 Sherry Ave.
