Virginian Pilot Sunday February 10, 1985


Cecil C. Jones Sr., 72, of 1446 Braden Crescent, a native of Currituck County, 
N.C., and the husband of Mary Elizabeth Jones, died Saturday in a hospital. He 
was the son of Mary L. Jones of Chesapeake.
He was a retired, 30 year employee of the public works department of Norfolk 
Naval Station and a member of Norfolk Masonic Lodge 1, Scottish Rite Bodies and 
Khedive Temple of the Shrine. He was a Baptist.
Other survivors include a daughter, Cecilia J. Walsh, and a son, Cecil C. Jones 
Jr., both of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mrs. R.R. Griffin of Chesapeake; and 
five granddaughters.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Tidewater Drive Chapel; by Dr. Paul B. Watlington Jr. Burial will be in Forest 
Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. today.
