Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, June 17, 1997 
Mattie W. Jones, 90, of the 1200 block of Midland St., died June 14, 1997.

She was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church and Eastern Star Margaret Frances
Chapter.

Survivors include a son, Hugh Jones of Norfolk; a sister, Mae Harrell of
Ahoskie, N.C.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of
nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in New Calvary Baptist Church. Burial
will be in Calvary Cemetery . Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday
at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
