Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, June 3, 2003 
 NORFOLK - Overton W. Jones , 84, of the 800 block of Jasmine Ave., died May 27,
2003 in the Veterans Hospital, Hampton.

Mr. Jones was a native of Norfolk and the son of the late James R. and Mary E.
Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of First Baptist Church Bute Street and a Golden
Heritage Life Member of the NAACP.

Mr. Jones retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Washington, D.C.

He is survived by his sister, Doris Jones and several good friends.

As requested by the deceased, there will be no funeral. Hale Funeral Home Inc.
is in charge.
