Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, December 15, 1998 
Vessie H. ``Burneitha'' Jones, 69, of the 3500 block of Riverside Drive, died
Dec. 14, 1998.

Born in Eden, N.C., she retired in 1985 as a supply systems analyst after 30
years with the Naval Supply Center. She was a member of St. Paul C.M.E. Norfolk.

Survivors include three daughters, Minta Branham of Silver Spring, Md., Ouida
Baum of Virginia Beach and Thea Jones Cromwell and her husband, Norman, of
Chesapeake; a son, Guy Branham of Norfolk; three sisters, Odessa Darden of
Norfolk, Catherine Williams of Virginia Beach and Yvonne Minor of Portsmouth;
grandchildren, Torrell Branham and Brandon Baum; and a host of nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul C.M.E., 310 Virginia
Beach Blvd. by the Rev. Calvin Edgerton. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery .
The family will receive friends for visitation at P.G. Thomasson Funeral
Services Inc. from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
