Last rites for Mrs. Katie Jones, 723 Smith Street who died at her home,Friday,
July 28, were held from Mt. Zion Holiness Church, Tuesday, August 1, with the
presiding elder officiating. Mrs. Jones was a native of Ahoskie, NC, and had
lived here for the past 25 years. Two sons, two daughters, and one sister
survive. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.
