Virginian-Pilot  October 8, 1928
Mrs. Catherine Jones, wife of Frederick C. Jones, died at the residence, 629 May 
avenue, yesterday morning at 8 o’clock after a protracted illness. She was a 
native of Cardiff, South Wales, and had been a resident of this city for nine 
years. Surviving her, besides her husband, are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis 
Cronin, three sisters, Mrs. Dennis Donovan, Mrs. Collins and Miss Margaret Cronin, 
and four brothers, John, Dennis, Robert and Patrick Cronin, all of Cardiff. Mrs. 
Jones was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where funeral services will be 
held for her tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock, with interment in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
