The Virginian Pilot December 16, 1978
Mrs. Mabel Viola Jones, 83, of 4600 Tony Lema Lane, the widow of Charles Walton 
Jones Jr. and a native of Norfolk, died Thursday in her home.
She was retired from the Norfolk Registrar's office as an assistant registrar. 
She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. June Capps Norris of Maidens, Va., and Anne 
Capps Robertson of Virginia Beach; and two nephews, George Schepp of Virginia 
Beach and Charles William Schepp of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, 
Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. John M. Hamm. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 
and also at her home.
