A. M. Jones, Sr. dies in Hickory

Hickory - Funeral services for A. M. Jones Sr., the past grandmaster of the State 
of Virginia, who died on Oct. 25, were held on Oct. 28 from Gabriel Chapel Church.

During his lifetime, Mr. Jones set up a lodge in his name. Surviving are his 
widow, Mrs. Shloe Jones, three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Spratley, Mrs. Emma F. 
Miller, and Mrs. Otelia Mullen; two sons, Mack and James E. Jones; two daughters-
in-law; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Interment was in Calvary 
Cemetery.
