Claude M. Jones Sr. of the 100 block of Hartmans Corner Road, died Dec. 22, 
2003. He was the son of the late Ruth W. Jones and the late John Jones. 

He is survived by his wife, Louise Rogerson-Jones; two sons, Claude M. Jones Jr. 
of Tucson, Ariz. and Dwyane Neville of Chesapeake; a stepson, Mark Rogerson of 
Randolph, N.J.; a sister, Juanita Purvis of Norfolk; and a brother, Theodore 
Jones of Oakland, Calif. 

A funeral will be held Saturday at noon at Queen Street Baptist Church by Pastor 
Peter Wherry. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will be at the 
Radisson Hotel, Norfolk. Viewing will be Friday from noon to 9 p.m. The body 
will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Graves Funeral Home is handling 
arrangements.
