Mrs. Bertie Jordan, 80, of 1125 Elliott street, died August 31 at her 
residence.  She had been a merchant for over 50 years in the Titustown 
section and was well liked and respected by everyone.

She is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Naomi Hawkins and Miss Sophronia Hamlin;  
one nephew, William Drew and twelve great nieces and nephews.

Final rites were conducted Sept. 3 at the St. John AME Church.  Rev. J. R.  
Johnson , pastor, officiated.  Riddick Funeral Service was in charge and 
burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
