The Virginian-Pilot, October 8, 1991

John Jordan of the 1400 block of Centerville Turnpike, a retired supervisor with 
the city of Norfolk, died October 5, 1991, in a Hampton hospital.

Mr. Jordan was born in Norfolk. He had retired after 30 years. He was a Mason 
and a member of First Baptist Church Campostella in Norfolk. He was a Marine 
Corps veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Vera C. Jordan; a daughter, Sherry J. Harrell of 
Virginia Beach; three brothers, Fredrick Jordan of Norfolk, Abraham L. Jordan of 
Virginia Beach and Steven Jordan of South Bend, Ind.; and a grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church 
Campostella by the Rev. Harold Cason. Hale Funeral Home is handling 
arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to the church's building fund.
