 The Norfolk Virginian Tuesday June 01,1897
 
The funeral of Mrs. Katharine E. Jordan, wife of Mr. John H. Jordan, took 
place Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Freemason Street Baptist church, 
and was conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Dr. M.R. Wharton, assisted by the 
Rev. L.R. Wright of the Grace Baptist church. The interment was in Elmwood 
Cemetery. The following were the pall-bearers: Messrs. Walter Graham, Walter 
Church, Harry Arrington, Wesley Gregory, Willis Brown, Henry Milner, Willie 
Weis, William Smith and George Askew.
