Norfolk Virginian March 24, 1882 

JORDAN - In this city, at the residence of her parents, No. 73 Wood Street, 
Thursday, March 23d, 1882, at 4:15 p.m. after a brief illness, PENELOPE 
VIRGINIA, aged 11 years and 10 months, second daughter of Amos P. and Martha 
Jordan.
Her funeral will take place from the residence of her parents THIS (Friday) 
MORNING, at 11 o'clock. Friends of the family are respectfully invited to 
attend.
                     "Hope looks beyond the bounds of time,
                            When what we not deplore
                        Shall rise in full immortal prime, 
                             And bloom to fade no more."
