The Norfolk Virginian, January 02, 1898

Mr. V. Paul Jordan aged 46, a well-known citizen, died at the Retreat for the 
Sick Friday night. The funeral took place yesterday from Centenary Methodist 
Church. The services were conducted by the Rev. W.H. Edwards, pastor of the 
church. The pall-bearers were: Messrs. Nat Nichols, Frank Camp, J.W. Grandy, 
L.D. Smith, J.J. Moore and John P. Kevill. The interment was in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
