Virginian-Pilot, June 8, 1900
DIED - Mr. Joseph C. Jordan passed away at his home on Avenue A near Third 
Street, at 2:30 o'clock yesterday morning at the ripe age of 70 years. The 
deceased was highly respected in the community. He was a member of Pickett-Buchanan
Camp. The funeral will take place from 
Buchanan Camp. The funeral will take place from LeKies Memorial Methodist 
Church at 4 o'clock this afternoon.
