M. Jordan died at his home, West Pocahontas Avenue yesterday afternoon at one 0'clock of blood poison caused by an abrasion on his foot from wearing a tight shoe. He is survived by a widow and six children from the ages of four to fourteen years. The family is left in destitute circumstances and any relief afforded by the community will be gratefully appreciated. The funeral will take place from his late residence at 2 o'clock this afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. Geo. W. Cox of Burrows Memorial Baptist Church. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
