She was born in Charles City County, Va., but has lived in Norfolk most of her life. Besides her husband, she is survived by one brother, a step daughter, sister-in-law and many friends among whom are Mrs. Mayme Hewitt, a white lady friend who has not missed a week at her bedside and always brought nourishment to her during her illness. I sincerely regret that owing to misunderstanding the hackman failed to call at her residence and that accounts for her absence at the funeral which I announce with many regrets. The funeral was held Sunday, January 1st 1922 at Second Calvary Baptist Church of which she was a member 25 years. Six deacons of Second Calvary were active pall bearers. Rev. C. P. Madison officiated. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
