Norfolk - Jessie L. Jordan Jr. of 1500 E. Olney Road died Tuesday in a 
Virginia Beach nursing home after a short illness.

A native of Norfolk, he was a son of the late Jessie L. Jordan Sr. and Mrs. 
Christine Jordan and the husband of Mrs. Sophie Jordan.

He worked for the Norfolk Public Safety Department.

Besides his widow, surviving are a son, Jessie L. Jordan III of Norfolk; a 
daughter, Mrs. Ida M. Fentress of Dover DE; a brother, James Jordan of 
Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Flossie Phillips, Mrs. Alberta Walker, and Mrs. 
Emma Jordan of Norfolk; and four grandchildren.

The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home.
