Virginian-Pilot October 23, 1929
Mrs. Elizabeth Joyce, aged 87, widow of Sergt. L. Joyce, U.S.A., died Monday 
morning at Sacred Heart Home at Hyattsville, Md. Mrs. Joyce was the mother of the 
late James V. Trehy, clerk of the Corporation Court, and for many years a 
political leader in Norfolk.
The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver's funeral apartments, 610-12 East
Freemason street, to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow 
morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
