S. Joyner, formerly of Norfolk, died Thursday in Indianapolis, where she had lived for the past two years. She was well known in Norfolk and had many friends here. She is survived by her husband and an infant daughter; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Davis, and two sisters, Misses Harriet and Josephine Davis, all of Norfolk. The body will be brought to Norfolk for burial, of which notice will be given later. DIED JOYNER - At Indianapolis , Ind., Thursday evening, May 18, 1916, ELIZA ALEXANDER, wife of H. S. Joyner and daughter of Charles E. and Fannie Ransom Davis. Funeral services at residence of parents, No. 211 Grace street, Norfolk, Va., MONDAY AFTERNOON at 4 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment private. Additional Comments: Her date of death from these obituaries is different from her death certificate, which says it was May 19, 1916.
