Norfolk - Jesse C. Joyner Jr. of 738 Johnson Ave., the husband of Mrs. Ruth
Joyner and native of Norfolk, died Thursday in a hospital.

He was retired from the National Maritime Union of America after 35 years and
was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

A funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in New Calvary Baptist Church by the
Rev. Oliver C. Welch. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home
in charge.
