NORFOLK — Mrs. Ethel Starkey (Auntie) Joynes, 92, of 115 E. Severn Road, a native 
of Norfolk, died Friday at 12:06 p.m. in her home.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Lee Starkey Frohlich of Norfolk and 
Mrs. Georgia Starkey Voorhies of Virginia Beach; a granddaughter, Georgia F. 
Heywood of San Luis Rey Downs, Calif.; two grandsons, Richard Lamont Frohlich of 
Tampa, Fla., and Thomas Franklin Frohlich of Dana Point, Calif.; and a niece, Mrs. 
Billie Starkey Norman of Deerfield, Ill.
The body was taken to Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel.
A funeral will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery by Dr. William 
Wilson. The family will be at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
