NORFOLK — Miss Eva Bennett Joynes, 83, of the Mary F. Ballentine Home for Ladies 
died at 10:10 a.m. Saturday.
She was a native of Norfolk and a daughter of Reuben and Mrs. Indiana Bennett 
Joynes. She was a member of First Methodist Church.
She is survived by three nephews, Earl Joynes and Stanley Joynes of Norfolk and 
Leslie Joynes of Fresno, Calif.; and three nieces, Miss Constance Joynes and Mrs. 
S. D. Dudley of Norfolk and Mrs. William J. Simpson of Fresno, Calif.
A funeral service will be held in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Monday at noon 
by the Rev. C. Fred Williams of First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
