Margaret was born on August 30, 1934, in Clarksburg, WV, the youngest of six children to Sidney Salbrey Albertson and Catherine Fisher Albertson. She married John Joseph Jurick, Jr. on July 27, 1957. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John, her siblings William, Frederic, Mary, Catherine and Zouella. She is survived by her children: Robert Jurick (Penelope), Stephen, Richard (Kathy), Gregory (Melissa), Patricia (Patrick) and Laetitia (James); and her grandchildren: Alina Jurick, Jeremiah Jurick, Taylor Shubert, Jordan Shubert, William Shubert, Kennedy Jurick, Samantha Jurick, Phoebe Jurick, William Browning, Marena Jones, Madison Jones and Mason Jones. Margaret started her career immediately after high school graduation as a telephone operator for C & P Telephone Company. While living in Norfolk, she shifted to being a homemaker and raising her six children. During this time she also provided in-home child care for many children and worked as a teacher's assistant for First Presbyterian Preschool. She later returned to work in telecommunications, eventually retiring from Norfolk General Hospital in 2001. She attended Sacred Heart Church for many years prior to moving to Chesapeake. She loved being with her family, going to the beach, working puzzles, crafts and watching West Virginia University football (her husband's alma mater). She maintained close relationships with nieces, nephews, co-workers and friends. She will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 520 Graydon Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23507. The family will have a private ceremony at 11am, Tuesday, August 4th, with burial ceremony at 12 noon at St. Mary's Cemetery in Norfolk. Burial ceremony is open to friends.
